The reach of this plant spans entire continents and has long been used in Europe as a herbal botanical. Being recorded by Dioscorides in his De Materia
Medica it is thought that the ancient Greeks learnt about the uses of Liquorice from the Scythians. Later, Roman writers also allude to the plant calling it
Radix dulcis. From the Middle East to China this herb spread during the medieval period and was used for differing purposes.

How Do I Take It?
The desired amount of LiquoriceTincture can be added to water or fruit juice.

1-2mls up to three times a day or as directed by a Herbal practitioner.

Quality and Manufacture
The roots are cleaned, inspected for quality before being air dried out of direct sunlight and tested for pollutants. The dried root then undergoes a process
of cold percolation in order to extract the active constituents into tincture form. This method employs a gradient circulation of the solution which keeps
the plant ingredients in perpetual contact with the ethanol. More efficient than maceration, this technique ensures there is less waste of precious plant
materials.
